How to Make Chinese Suzhou Embroidery - Twisted Knot Stitch

There are 18 different stitches in Suzhou embroidery. Below is the introduction of the fourteenth stitch, twisted knot stitch

18 - 14 Twisted Knot Stitch

Twisted knot stitch is one of the traditional stitches of Suzhou embroidery. Lines are used to form small knobby loops on the embroidered face, and make every stitch with a knot (fig. a). This stitch is usually used for decorative designs. In doing the work, first use the needle to draw the thread out of the embroidered face (fig. c), insert the needle at a point 1 mm from the original stitch hole, then draw the thread tight, thus forming a knot on the face (fig. d).
