18 - 12 Flat Golden Stitch

The flat golden stitch is made with gold-colored or silk threads spread throughout the design. This type of embroidery has a stunning effect. First, gold-colored threads must be wound around a spool to form a double thread (fig. a). To begin, a short needle threaded with silk is used to make a tie around the gold thread through the original stitch hole and hide it behind the back side, namely, spread the thread from the edge according to the design, and make a stitch every three millimeters. The stitches should be interspaced between the lines, and spread into the form of an osmanthus flower (fig. b.)
