Mounting an embroidery piece is an art in itself. There are two ways of mounting Su embroidery paintings: hard mounting and soft mounting.
1. Hard Mounting
Glue a finished embroidery piece on a piece of wood veneer and make it smooth and solid on the panel. Make frames according to the panel size. The frame materials can be wood or imitation wood as to your preference. Cut a piece of glass cover according to the frame size. (optional) Assemble all pieces together and that is a framed Su embroidery painting. The hard mounting technique is really easy to master.
2. Soft Mounting
Mounting a finished embroidery piece on paper with a silk border. It is suitable for large pieces - making them easy to carry. The soft mounting technique is relatively difficult to master. A piece with soft mounting is more valuable due to the nature of the mounting technique.
Note
To save more money, we recommend our customers buy our embroidery paintings with no frames. All our embroidery paintings are either hard mounted or soft mounted. They are ready to be framed. You can frame your embroidery paintings in your local place. It's easy. Anyhow it's absolutely unnecessary to pay high shipping cost for the frames which can be bought everywhere in your local place.

Step One
Prepare a wood veneer that is a bit larger than the embroidery painting, 12 to 18cm longer than embroidery painting in width and height.
Step Two
Glue a piece of paper on the midst of the wood veneer. This step is needed for some flat stitching embroidery paintings whose background silk satins are transparent. As to random stitching embroidery, the paper is not needed. Use white paper for white silk satins, black paper for black silk satins.
Step Three
Put glue on the wood veneer. Please note only the four boards of the embroidery painting are glued to the veneer.
Step Four
Using a brush spread the glue.
Step Five
Put the embroidery painting on the board. Stretch the embroidery painting on the wood veneer.
Step Six
Strain the embroidery painting where there are traces to make it smooth and solid.
Step Seven
Put a piece of paper on the silk embroidery. Iron the embroidery painting. The ironed embroidery painting is ready to be framed.
Step Eight
Frame the embroidery painting according to the wood veneer size. Don’t forget matting. That will make the embroidery painting look better. Put a piece of glass in front of the embroidery to prevent dust if your customers like.
Note:
Step Six is the most important step. Check the embroidery painting after Step Five to see where the embroidery painting is not smooth. Strain it and make it solid and smooth. Don’t iron the embroidery before all the traces are straitened out. Make sure it is smooth and unwrinkled.
